Samsøe Samsøe with local love for SS21

The collection takes inspiration in the global, yet local, subcultural diversity of the people around them in Nørrebro. With this years immense stamp on the world history, Samsøe realized they needed to dig deeper and analyze themselves and their actions for the next season.

SS 21 ‘LOCAL LOVE’ collection by Samsøe Samsøe. With words such as glocal, diversity, inclusion, and camaraderie being a part of our moodboards and ethics for the past few seasons - it really became the ignition for pushing this collection to what it actually has become - a story of local love. A collective, honest, understanding in house at

Nørrebro was a huge part of the Samsøe Samsøe heritage, where they have had their base for over 20 years. They get inspired by the multicultural aspect this borough brings. The sense of community and solidarity might be the strongest, in all of Copenhagen - ensuring that Samsøe Samsøe as a brand always take everything mentioned above into consideration for the future.

Folkloric traditions and cross cultural references are portrayed through soft, geometric prints, taking inspiration from around the world. Light, airy fabrics and the casually oversized silhouette tells the story of a new era for the brand, brining a luxe approach, in refined voluminous shapes. Playing around with tactility, and soft tailoring speaks loud in shapes of our outerwear, which adds an element of the Nordics into the collection, whilst pyjama stripes and floral traces in a new way gets you longing for summer. Giving you a palette of earthy tones, moody blues, grassy greens, washed out purples and rich reds - this collection embraces all forms and figures, and tells the story of worldhood. A term we’ve gotten into depths with, especially for the SS21 collection. We decided to go back to our roots - ensuring a storytelling of the global, yet local presence that Nørrebro possesses. This making us as a global brand a bit more local, real and raw. Being in the now. Just how we like it.
